Strong Showing In Gainesville

| Monday June 21 2010

The Extreme Team has just returned home from a successful weekend in Gainesville, Georgia. Friday night would see Mac and Bearfoot give a valiant effort, but would come up just short to long time friend and tough competitor Jimmy Creten in Bounty Hunter, earning 2nd place honors in wheelie, racing, and freestyle. Saturday started off with a bang as Mac wheeled the Bearfoot truck nose high, planting the tailgate into the dirt beyond the cars and ripping off the bedsides and tailgate! Again, it would be tough to beat the formidable Bounty Hunter truck as Mac and Bearfoot picked up a solid 2nd place finish in the wheelie, racing, and freestyle portions of the show.

The team has a few weeks at the shop to regroup and repair a problematic head gasket. After the quick fix, the team will head north to Vinyl Images in St. Louis, Missouri to pick up their brand, new Ballistic Ford body they plan to campaign for the remainder of their summer tour. Be checking back shortly as pictures of the new body and vinyl wrap will be up on the website. A big thanks to Gale and Orville Hill with the Southern Monster Truck Showdown for all their hospitality and an enjoyable weekend!

Solid May Comes to a Close

Another solid month is in the books as the Extreme Team competed in two big events in mid-May. The first was in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as our good friend Stanley Torgerson made his return to promoting events, coming out of retirement and bringing back the Rolling Thunder Motorsports Tour. We were very happy to be invited to participate and it was a great couple of shows with solid efforts from the team.

From there, the team loaded up for a cross country haul to one of our favorite events, the O’Reilly Outlaw Nationals in Miami, Oklahoma. With tough competition including hometown boy Devin Jones in Barbarian, Equalizer, Hot Tamale, Cult Energy Activator and more, Mac did the Bearfoot name proud with great runs all weekend. The highlight came in the Friday night wheelie contest when Mac stood Bearfoot straight up and down and walked it across the cars.

Be sure to check out the photos page for some great shots from Miami courtesy of our friends at TheMonsterBlog.com - also be watching their site as we will be featured in the Miami, OK episode of TMB TV, premiering in June. We’ll be getting ready for our big summer tour which will include the return of Ballistic - stay tuned for photos of the new scheme!

Extreme Team Wraps Up Fun February

| Thursday March 4 2010

Another month of the 2010 is in the books as Mac Plecker and Bearfoot continue racking up the wins. Last weekend we returned to one of our favorite events, Darryl Starbird’s Battle of the Monster Trucks in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Last year Mac and Bearfoot went head to head with Bigfoot all weekend, taking 2 of the 4 racing victories. This year would see some struggles for the team, but Mac still managed to march his way through the eight truck field and win one of the weekend’s racing competitions. Bigfoot, Eliminator and Desperado also picked up a win, with Bigfoot narrowly taking the overall weekend title.

From there it was on to Asheville, North Carolina for three big shows at the WNC Agricultural Center. We were very excited to return to this venue for the first time since it became part of Danny Torgerson’s Monster X Tour. Mac would face tough competition including fellow MTRA competitors Rodney Tweedy in Bigfoot and Greg Winchenbach in Crushstation. Both ran strong and were tough to beat, but Mac still managed to pick up the big Saturday night racing win.

With two months down, Mac and Bearfoot have put together a great start to the 2010 season. Mac currently has the second best overall winning percentage in all of monster trucks at 66%, with only Gary Porter in Grave Digger beating that mark. Mac’s 16 freestyle wins also rank 3rd in all of monster trucks. The Extreme Team is excited to continue running strong against tough competition this year and still has openings for the summer schedule. Look for a return of Ballistic this summer and don’t forget the availability of the Extreme Team ride truck, which has been entertaining fans all across the country so far in 2010. Stay tuned for more updates!

Bearfoot Continues Winning Ways on TBO Tour

| Tuesday February 16 2010

The Extreme Team has continued its winning ways to start off February, with Mac Plecker and Bearfoot dominating the TBO Entertainment Monster Freestyle Fallout tour. The first weekend of the month saw the team performing close to home in August, Georgia. Mac would once again sweep freestyle competition for the weekend.

The following weekend would be no different as the tour moved on to Tupelo, Mississippi’s Lee County Ag Center. Despite the best efforts of Shelley Kujat in Shell Camino, it would still be Mac and Bearfoot sweeping freestyle once again.

The next two weeks will see the team returning to competition in two of our favorite venues – the Battle of the Monster Trucks in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the Asheville, North Carolina Monster X Tour event. Stay tuned for results from those events as the team looks forward to taking on Bigfoot and other tough competition!

Extreme Team Dominates to Start 2010 Strong

| Tuesday February 2 2010

The new season is in full swing and it’s been a great start to 2010 for Mac Plecker and Bearfoot! A very successful 2009 season is hard to follow, but thus far the team is running strong and seeing a lot of victory lane on the TBO Monster Freestyle Fallout Tour. Our first event was the second weekend of the year in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for the annual event at the Forest County Multi-Purpose Center. Mac and Bearfoot adapted well to the new freestyle format, taking overall wins in 2 of the 3 competitions.

The Mississippi tour continued as it was then on to the Coliseum in Jackson. The new freestyle format continued to serve well for the team as Mac swept all three freestyle with a mix of sky wheelies, donuts and slap wheelies. The next weekend in Monroe, Lousiana would be the only TBO event this year to feature side by side racing. Bearfoot would once again dominate freestyle with another weekend sweep and Mac added one racing victory as well.

The month of January finished up in Baton Rouge at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center. It was back to all freestyle and Mac would go 2 out of 3 with Shelley Kuajt in Shell Camino picking up the other win. It was a great first month for the team, with 11 wins in 15 racing and freestyle competitions for one of the best winning percentages in all of monster trucks. Stay tuned for more updates as Mac and Bearfoot look to continue running strong in 2010!

The Extreme Team is currently preparing for a big 2010 first quarter and we’re excited to announce that we’ll be back with TBO Entertainment and their Monster Freestyle Fallout Tour!  The first six weeks of the year we’ll be on the TBO Tour with the Bearfoot race truck and the ride truck which will be back as Extreme Team this season. From there we’ll head up to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Battle of the Monster Trucks. Last year Mac and Bearfoot had a great weekend long battle with Bigfoot and we’re ready to do it all over again. We’ve still got some open dates in March, so anyone looking for a great truck for those weekends, contact us today. We also have to send out a big thanks to our friends with PTC Transmissions who have put some great quality equipment in Bearfoot for 2010. Check them out at www.PTCRace.com! We’re ready for the New Year, we hope to see you on tour this winter!

Extreme Team Wraps Up Wild Summer Tour

| Thursday August 20 2009

It’s been a crazy few weeks since our last update and in that time we have ran two of the biggest names in the history of the sport, Bearfoot and BIGFOOT!  After stopping by the Bigfoot 4×4 shop in St. Louis to pick up a body, we were off to fill in for the team at the KSR Motorsports Night of Fire & Destruction at Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania. The first night went well, but there would be no stopping Joe Sylvester and Bad Habit as he picked up the freestyle win. Saturday however, Mac was up to the task as he put together a strong run with slap wheelies, donuts and air to take the victory. We had a great time with the KSR folks and it was a pleasure to represent Team Bigfoot. Thanks to FastLanePhotos.com for the picture below.

After saying goodbye to the Bigfoot body, we were ready to get back to work with Bearfoot as we traveled on for to Indiana for a Monday night show in Crownpoint at the Lake County Fair. Facing off against the Bar’s Leaks Eliminator, Rislone Defender and Paul Shafer himself in Monster Patrol, Mac did a great job and brought home the racing win along with the top freestyle of the night.

Next up would be two more shows in Michigan for Larry Hatt, Saturday in Jackson and Monday in Mount Morris. The Jackson show did not go well for the Extreme Team as the transmission let go on the very first pass of the night putting Mac out of the event. After repairs, Mac was ready to take on the competition in Mount Morris on Monday. Allen Pezo grabbed the racing win in Predator, but Mac had the wheelies and donuts working in freestyle and it would be enough to take home the win.

It’s been a strong season for Mac and Bearfoot with 27.5 racing and freestyle wins out of a possible 52 for a 53% winning percentage.  Now we get a week off and then it’s back on the road with the ride truck. Stay tuned for more updates and make sure to get in contact with us to have Bearfoot, Ballistic or the Savage ride truck at your next event!

Extreme Team Having Fun Summer

| Monday August 3 2009

After a relaxing month of June, it was back on the road for July, starting with a 4th of July celebration including monster trucks in Lee, New Hampshire! We had a great time at this event, running with Bruce & Jamie Haney and Bad News Travels Fast, Lionel Easler with Instigator and the legend Diehl Wilson with Virginia Giant. Mac ran strong in racing, but the Virginia Giant couldn’t be stopped as Diehl took the win. Bearfoot would experience some rear steering issues in freestyle, but Mac still managed to keep it going and did some great donuts to pump up the crowd.

Next it was on up to Ionia, Michigan for Larry Hatt’s Monster Truck Shootout at the Ionia Free Fair. Mac and Bearfoot didn’t disappoint the crowd with their performances, doing a great job, but Prowler and Bad News would pick up the wins. The team was back on the road, down to Grayslake, Illinois just outside Chicago for a Paul Shafer Tuesday fair show that we have been part of for several years now. In side-by-side drag racing, Mac worked his way to the finals, only to be beat by Bruce Haney in Bad News by mere inches. In freestyle however, Mac put on a show with very little to work with, driving Bearfoot to the win.

Only two days later, it was back to racing for the Paul Shafer Thursday night show at the Porter County Fair in Valparaiso, Indiana. For Mac, this meant returning to the site of his first rollover, last fall in Valpo. Racing on a fun J-hook course, Mac ran strong but it was Doug Charles in Captain USA who would work his way through the eight-truck field to take the win. Freestyle was a blast as the trucks ran two at a time on several occasions to the delight of the crowd. There would be no winner announced due to the tandem runs, but Mac & Bearfoot did a great job.

Our next event is a very exciting one for the team, as we have had the honor of being asked to run for Team Bigfoot at the KSR-Motorsports event at Bedford Speedway this coming weekend! The team traveled from Valpo down to St. Louis to put on the Bigfoot body and now it’s off to Bedford to take on Bad Habit, Viper, Storm Damage and more, representing the original monster truck! How many drivers can say they drove Bearfoot and Bigfoot in the same year? Stay tuned to find out how the show goes!
